groups filled and the supporters are waving their flags and clutching their
tickets.

Competition Rules and Format
The competition will follow the same format as the
“other” World Cup, so the top two teams from each group qualify for the next
round and goal difference decides teams on level points, if still level it’s
who scored the most goals in the group games, then whoever won the game between
the two tied teams. In the knockout stages if the teams are level at the end of
“extra time” contact me and I will run a penalty shoot out…. (I have a cunning
plan!)
Three points will be awarded for a win, one for a
draw and zero for losing.
In the group stages if the scores are
level at the end of normal time then the player whose turn it would be should
make a note of the score and scorers then resign the game and let me know the
result on the Mastermoves forum page or via a direct message to Lord Al.
In all cases either send me a direct message with
the result, score and scorers (for the Golden Boot award!) to
Lord Al or post it on the forum page.
Starting Games
For both the group and knockout games there will
have to be invitations sent to get the games going. To speed things up in the
group stages it’s fine to play all your three games at once if possible.
So check your fixtures below, if you are in the
first (home) column then you will send the invite to your opponent, for
example; in Group A, S. Africa will send invites to Mexico and Uruguay, Uruguay
will invite France, France invites Mexico and South Africa and Mexico invites
Uruguay. So you will send one or two invites.
To send an invite go to 'My games' (at
Mastermoves), go to the 'Invite' part of the page and enter that player's name
from the list above or page 3 on the Streetsoccer World cup forum http://www.mastermoves.eu/forum.php?topicid=851&forumpage=3
and don’t include the brackets, then select Streetsoccer and random start, also
include the fixture, e.g. Greece vs Nigeria .
Apologies to Nacional Montevideo (Uruguay) and Gumbyprof (Korea
Republic), I couldn’t fit your full names on the table above! Just copy and
paste from here or the forum if required.
Dropping Out
If
you have to pull out of the competition for any reason try and let me know as
soon as possible and we’ll try and get a substitute in to carry on for you.
Please
don’t resign your games, only exception is when you are level at the end of
normal time in the group phase.
